It was an eventful August at Lavonne, and as the month comes to an end, we thought we’d take a look at some of the highlights.
It’s motivation for September.
Starting the month off on a great note was the inimitable Chef Hong, who was here to conduct the first-of-its kind Sugar Art Demonstration, along with a 4 -day chocolate workshop. Read all about Chef Hong’s visit here.
We also conducted the first assessment for our Diplome in Pâtisserie students this month.
Chef Joonie pushed all boundaries and created a 3-foot-tall, fully edible Minnie Mouse themed cake. Read all about the ingenuity that went into this cake here.
Back at the Pastry Shop, things got a little lemony with our Lemon Meringue Cheesecake.
But also chewy and healthy, with the Dark Chocolate Granola Bar.
And things just got better and better. We hit 10, 000 likes on our Facebook page and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the support from our patrons. Thank you!
But that wasn’t the only good news in August. The icing on our cake this month was the engagement of one of our Founders’, Mr. Lijo Eapen, in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala.

So August ended on a real high note for us. And we’re pretty sure September is only going to get bigger and better. Watch this space for more.
